This 3 drawer unit in the kitchen of a Richmond rental property had two drawers falling off the runners and a missing handle.
Rather than consign the whole kitchen to the tip in an expensive re-furb I fixed and cleaned the unit and found new handles for the three drawers that lived well with the missing originals.
The side of the unit had warped slightly which was the reason the drawers were not working but I was able to pack out the space to the correct width with thin plywood and set new drawer runners.
Good as new, and much cheaper and more sustainable than than changing the whole lot!

A pragmatic and cost effective solution to the expense of having to replace numerous units. Neat and functional
- This kitchen unit was in bad shape but rather than replace the whole lot a practical repair was in hand
- The drawers wouldn’t open because the runners were bent and needed replacing
- The problem was that the side of the cabinet had warped. I was able to put in an infill to close the gap and fit new runners so that the drawers open freely
- With all the drawers operational again I replaced the broken handles that were no longer available with sympathetic wooden ones
