This downstairs loo in a new build house had a compact wash basin with exposed plumbing beneath. The owners felt it looked untidy and wanted the pipe work boxing in.
I created a tight fitting but movable free-standing box to go underneath from a simple timber frame clad with gloss white soffit board.
The result, neat, in keeping with the modern decor and practical, being easy to move for maintenance.

Clean lines, stylish and practical
- Although the plumbing was styled to be visible it looked rather untidy
- The owners wanted a tidy, modern solution to match with the white porcelain
- Rather than make something that was fixed to the wall I created a box that could be moved and replaced in case of maintenance
- White soffit board is sturdy, weather and waterproof and gloss. I used the radius corners of the material to enhance the design
- The final result, a neat, practical, easy to clean and nice looking unit
